About SCORE Sports Founded in 1975, SCORE has been a grassroots partner with club sports, working at the national, state, and local levels to provide uniforms and equipment for youth sports. While we have historically focused on soccer, SCORE now provides uniforms and equipment across a range of sports including flag football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and more.  SCORE has manufacturing facilities in North America, enabling us to provide custom uniforms faster and with exceptional quality.  Join the SCORE team and help us continue our mission to support the next generation of athlete! About the Position Score Sports is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s daily accounting operations and support the continued growth of the organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing the monthly close process, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, experience in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with departments across the business. NOTE: this is an onsite position in Irvine, CA About You * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required * 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required * Previous management or supervisory experience preferred * Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles * Experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or apparel industries preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems required * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * CPA designation preferred but not required * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset. * Experience in a Private Equity backed environment * Spanish language skills highly desirable. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations * Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting * Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules * Oversee tax compliance and filings (sales tax, use tax, property tax, income tax support) * Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures * Point person for the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting packages * Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers during audits and annual filings * Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities * Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations * Analyze financial data and provide insights to support operational and strategic decision-making * Partner with operations, sales, inventory, and supply chain teams to improve financial accuracy and processes * Supervise and mentor accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment * Review and approve account reconciliations and enforce reconciliation standards * Lead ERP system maintenance, reporting enhancements, and process improvement initiatives and internal controls * Support special projects and other finance-related initiatives as assigned Pay & Benefits Score Sports offers competitive pay and benefits.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K. Base salary range is $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.  Note, this is an onsite position in Irvine, CA.
