Job description

Ticket Sales & Sponsorship Fall Intern

The New York Cosmos and New Jersey Jackals are seeking a passionate and motivated Ticket Sales Intern to join our Revenue & Events team. This internship is ideal for students interested in Sports Management, Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or Hospitality who are looking to gain real-world experience in professional sports. As a Ticket Sales Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting ticket sales initiatives, group outings, fan engagement, and revenue generation for both the New York Cosmos and New Jersey Jackals. You'll work alongside our Ticket Sales team to learn the full sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to client service and game-day hospitality while helping grow attendance and create memorable fan experiences at Hinchliffe Stadium.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Ticket Sales team with prospecting, lead generation for both organizations
  • Assist with group sales initiatives including youth sports organizations, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and community groups
  • Help maintain customer records and sales activity within the team's CRM system
  • Assist with game-day ticket operations, will call, group hospitality, and fan experiences
  • Learn how ticket packages, premium seating, season memberships, and special promotions are developed and sold
  • Support ticket sales campaigns and community events
  • Assist with organizing client meetings, stadium tours, and hospitality experiences
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Community Relations teams to support promotional campaigns and ticket initiatives
  • Help prepare sales presentations, outreach materials, and promotional flyers
  • Represent both organizations at community events, networking functions, and promotional appearances
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Sales, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable speaking with prospective customers in person and over the phone
  • Positive attitude with a desire to learn sales and relationship management
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to assist during evenings, weekends, and home games as needed
  • Passion for sports, customer service, and fan engagement
Nice to Have
  • Previous customer service, retail, fundraising, or sales experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or CRM software
  • Comfortable making outbound phone calls and communicating with prospective clients
  • Experience with event planning or hospitality is a plus
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Interest in professional sports business, ticket sales, and revenue generation
