Job Description

Position: .Net Sybase
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 6+ months

Summary:

Our web developer participates in the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.

Responsibilities:

    Participate in the conversion and functionality expansion of 10 to 15 legacy applications to .Net 4.5x;
    ensure Windows Server 2008/2012/IE11 compatibility Upgrade/modify the applications'
    web client-oriented stored procedures to a Sybase ASE 15.7
    platform Reengineer application security (authentication; authorization) Develop new - or enhance -  business applications
    Provide production support
Advanced expertise is required, with the following technologies :

    C#/ ASP .Net / MVC Visual Studio 2013 or higher ADO
    WPF
    WCF
    XML
    LINQ
    JavaScript/jQuery
    Sybase or SQL Server (including table creation and stored procedure development)
    Oracle (including table creation and stored procedure development)
    Business Objects/Crystal Report
    Windows Server 2008 or higher
    IIS 7 or higher Financial services industry experience
    Microsoft Certifications (MCSD)

Qualifications


    10+ Years of work experience.
    Bachelors' degree or higher in Computer Science (or a related degree)
    Solid understanding of the enterprise software development process - including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, and release management (with both the Waterfall and Agile development methodologies)
    High-adeptness in problem analysis and resolution
    A strong team player;
    good interpersonal skills;
    detail orientation
    Good written and verbal skills are a must
