Hixwood Metal is the premier source for all your agricultural, pole barn, shed, building supply, coil, blank flat stock, and slit coil needs. We specialize in supplying the industry with products that are at the top of the spectrum. We have been proudly serving West Central Wisconsin with manufacturing quality building components since 1998.
Position Purpose: To provide exceptional customer service while managing walk-in guests and providing phone and email support as part of a successful sales team.

โ€ข Become acquainted and proficient with post frame and shed construction methods.

โ€ข Become acquainted and proficient with our lead tracking software.
โ€ข Invoice customers for building materials.
โ€ข Process sales orders and payments using our Point-of-Sale system.
โ€ข Complete basic quotes.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
โ€ข Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
โ€ข Great customer service skills are a must!
โ€ข Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
โ€ข Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
โ€ข Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes in a fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Building materials experience is a plus.
โ€ข Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions.
โ€ข Need to be independent, self-motivated and a team player.
โ€ข Must have mathematical skills commensurate with position.
โ€ข Detail oriented.
โ€ข Experience with Office Productivity Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
โ€ข High school diploma or GED.
โ€ข Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred.
โ€ข 1-year previous customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
โ€ข Walking, standing, sitting for long periods, climbing, squatting, bending, lifting, and kneeling are all required physical aspects of the job.
