Job description

The Mexico Collections agent manages early‐stage delinquency for the Mexico portfolio and provides support on higher‐delinquency accounts as needed. This role focuses on providing accurate, timely and compliant information regarding collection of payments or offering payment solutions on past due accounts in an effort to reduce losses. Work assigned accounts from 1 to 30 days past due, while handling inbound and outbound call volume servicing Car/Van accounts. The position operates primarily in an Outbound call center environment and emphasizes high-quality customer service, regulatory compliance, and effective communication across multiple stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage early‐stage delinquency accounts via Outbound interactions to prevent progression into higher‐risk stages.
  • Communicate with customers to clarify balances, resolve issues, and encourage timely payment.
  • Support collection efforts on higher‐delinquency or escalated accounts when required.
  • Conduct contract analysis to validate terms, identify discrepancies, and support accurate collections decisions.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews in our account systems, including validating payment activity, reviewing insurance and banking details, updating customer information, generating payoff quotes, and assessing charges related to past‐due balances.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to validate account information and maintain accurate documentation 
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Meet departmental service level expectations for call handling, response times, and quality standards

Skills and Qualifications:   

  • Fluent in speaking Spanish and proficient in Reading and Writing, required
  • Auto finance or collections experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent phone presence with experience handling inbound and outbound customer calls
  • Proficient data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems while maintaining service quality
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet service level expectations in a call center environment
