We are seeking an experienced Personal Lines Insurance CSR to provide exceptional service to our clients while handling daily policy servicing, quoting, processing, and agency operations. The ideal candidate will have prior independent agency experience and be comfortable working within an Agency Management System to efficiently manage client requests and workflow.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience in an independent insurance agency environment
  • Strong knowledge of Personal Lines products including Home, Auto, Umbrella, Condo, Renters, and related coverages
  • Experience working directly with insurance carriers for quoting, endorsements, billing questions, underwriting requirements, and policy changes
  • Proficient experience using an Agency Management System (AMS) for:
     
    • Entering and updating client information
  •  
    • Processing endorsements and policy changes
  •  
    • Maintaining accurate client files and documentation
  •  
    • Tracking activities, follow-ups, and workflows
  •  
    • Reviewing policy information and assisting with servicing requests
  •  
  • Experience quoting new business and remarketing existing accounts
  • Ability to prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Insurance, ID cards, and other policy documents
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while providing outstanding customer service
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with multiple insurance carrier portals
  • Experience handling renewals, policy reviews, and account rounding opportunities
  • Experience with personal lines underwriting requirements and carrier guidelines
  • Knowledge of agency procedures, workflows, and documentation standards
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and professional service to personal lines clients
  • Handle daily client requests including changes, billing questions, certificates, evidence, and policy documentation
  • Process endorsements accurately and efficiently
  • Quote new business and assist with account reviews
  • Communicate with carriers regarding underwriting, coverage questions, and policy issues
  • Maintain accurate records within the Agency Management System
  • Assist with renewal reviews and client retention efforts
  • Prioritize workload while meeting agency service standards
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be someone who can step into an active agency environment and contribute immediately with minimal training. Prior experience with an Agency Management System and independent agency workflow is strongly preferred.  There is a potential to add extra income from sales.
