Job description

Southeast US Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Territory Sales Manager to drive growth in the field of industrial digital X-ray and computed tomography (CT) solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sales activities within a defined geographic territory, focusing on expanding our footprint in industries such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, additive manufacturing, and energy.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of nondestructive testing (NDT) technologies and be capable of engaging with engineers, quality managers, and executives to deliver tailored imaging solutions that solve critical inspection challenges. You will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing long-term customer relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction and sustained revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement strategic territory plans to achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the market presence by growing your sales funnel.
  • Forecast sales volumes and report on territory performance to leadership.
  • Execute the annual plan to achieve booking targets.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct regular client visits, product presentations, and business reviews.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer issues and inquiries within the territory.

Account Development

  • Cultivate new accounts and grow existing business by upselling and cross-selling products/services.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential gaps.
  • Travel to customer and potential customer sites within the Region, and potentially elsewhere up to 50% to 60%.
  • Provide technical presentations in person and online, provide hands-on demonstrations, and attend trade shows, as required

Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to enhance customer experience.
  • Participate in sales training and strategy meetings.

Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including client communications, sales activities, and follow-up tasks.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and provide management insights.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of relevant Technical Capital Equipment sales experience
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience selling both high-value products and systems solutions into industrial manufacturing environments
  • US citizen or permanent resident.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM platforms.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50 to 60% of the time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools.
  • The ability to learn and demonstrate imaging software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a large or complex territory.
  • Background in Non-Destructive Testing in aerospace, oil/gas/pipe/weld, military or automotive industry is preferred
