What You'll Do
The Senior Product Solution Engineer (Sr. PSE) serves as the technical lead for enterprise sales engagements focused on Avalara's Oracle Fusion integrations and AI-driven tax automation solutions. This role partners with prospects, customers, and internal teams to design scalable compliance architectures, deliver compelling demonstrations, and guide complex technical evaluations across enterprise ecosystems.
The ideal candidate combines deep Oracle Fusion expertise, fluency in AI-enabled workflows and automation tools, indirect tax knowledge, and the ability to simplify complex business processes for executive and technical audiences.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
What You'll Do
Lead Oracle Fusion Solution Engagements
  • Serve as the technical lead for enterprise sales opportunities involving Oracle Fusion and Avalara integrations
  • Guide customers through discovery, architecture design, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical validation

Apply AI to Modernize Solution Engineering and Customer Outcomes
  • Use AI tools and automation platforms to accelerate discovery, solution design, workflow efficiency, and customer engagement
  • Demonstrate Avalara's AI-enabled capabilities and explain how intelligent automation improves compliance operations, accuracy, and scalability
  • Partner with customers to identify opportunities where AI-driven workflows can reduce operational complexity and improve outcomes

Design Scalable Tax Automation Architectures
  • Translate complex indirect tax, invoicing, and compliance requirements into scalable enterprise solutions
  • Advise customers on integration strategies across ERP, CRM, eCommerce, and related enterprise systems

Deliver Compelling Technical Demonstrations
  • Configure and demonstrate Oracle Fusion and Avalara solutions using customer-specific business scenarios
  • Build proof-of-concepts that communicate product benefits appropriate for each prospect's value and operational impact

Partner Cross-Functionally
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Content teams to influence roadmap priorities and improve customer outcomes

Represent Avalara Externally
  • Participate in customer events, webinars, partner sessions, and industry conferences as a technical subject matter expert
  • Promote the value proposition in presentations and demos with prospects and customers

What You'll Need to be Successful
  • Deep expertise with Oracle Fusion Financials, including modules such as Procurement, Payables, Order Management, and Billing
  • Fluency with AI technologies, automation platforms, and modern productivity tools, including the ability to explain growth opportunities and operational impact
  • Experience designing, configuring, or supporting Oracle Fusion integrations within enterprise environments
  • Experience with indirect tax, global compliance, and tax automation business processes
  • Hands-on experience demonstrating ERP and enterprise software solutions in customer-facing environments
  • Familiarity with APIs, integration frameworks, MCPs, and modern enterprise architectures
  • 10+ years of experience in solution engineering, enterprise applications, tax technology, or related fields
  • Experience with Avalara products and global tax engines
  • Experience with enterprise ecosystems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage, SAP, or related platforms

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
$184,500.00 - $295,300.00
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. Your actual salary/wage may be based on multiple factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, and market and business considerations.
This role is eligible for the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or use, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and your role
