Summary: The Project Manager for Special Projects will support the CIO and Mayor by managing and remediating special IT projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver results efficiently and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project scope, deliverables, and targeted outcomes.

  • Assemble and lead project teams, allocate resources, and define timelines.

  • Conduct cost/benefit analyses and maintain project budgets.

  • Align initiatives with architectural and enterprise standards.

  • Prepare and deliver project reports and dashboards for leadership.

  • Coach and mentor staff in project management best practices.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership in conflict resolution and project execution.

  • Effective communication with stakeholders and senior leadership.
