Job Summary:

The Commercial Solutions Project Manager handles overseeing, organizing, and helping to execute key strategic Syneos Commercial projects and provides exposure to all Commercial business units (Deployment Solutions, Consulting, and Communications) as well as corporate projects. Commercial projects are founded upon process improvement principles and topics will vary. The Commercial Solutions PM is responsible for ensuring that each project phase is prompt, appropriately documented, communicated, and archived. The Commercial Solutions PM directly reports within the Commercial PMO (Project Management Organization) but will interact with multiple project internal stakeholders and will handle planning, carrying out, and guiding the project's related processes and implementations. The Commercial Solutions PM manages multiple projects at one time.

The Commercial Solutions PM is responsible for collaborating with key internal Syneos Stakeholders to support and contribute to the achievement of a project's goals. The Commercial Solutions PM, in partnership with the project stakeholders, will evaluate the impact and success of project implementation and execution by analyzing results, evaluating metrics, and recommending best practices to capitalize on strengths and opportunities for improvement.

The Commercial Solutions Project Manager will be successful in the role by consistently addressing key facets:

  • Commercial Project Success (achieved goals)
    • The Commercial Solutions PM will be assigned to several strategic initiative projects and works with the internal stakeholders as the facilitator of the project and related deliverables/deadlines
    • The Commercial Solutions PM works closely and directly with internal stakeholders from Syneos Health's cross-functional teams and is accountable to those stakeholders for effectively managing multiple timelines, sequential liabilities, and interdependencies
  • Relationship Success (strength of Syneos internal stakeholder partnership, communication, timely delivery of initiatives within budget)
    • The Commercial Solutions PM (in conjunction with the stakeholders) is responsible for ensuring the core project team adheres to the established governance structure
    • The Commercial Solutions PM handles managing relationships with the internal stakeholders
    • The Commercial Solutions PM is responsible for various and complex communication including the preparation, proper distribution, and archiving of artifacts including meeting actions, timelines and deliverables
    • The Commercial Solutions PM works with internal Stakeholders and Finance to provide routine budget updates and related tracking

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Aids in the planning and execution of projects having a focus from initiation through delivery
  • Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project while adhering to budget, scope, schedule and quality requirements
  • Oversees the tracking of project status, deliverables and milestones
  • Monitors and escalates project risks and issues
  • Ensures monitoring, reporting and managing of budgets and expenditure
  • Consults, reports and measures the business impact of senior-level cross-functional teams in implementing complex strategic initiative projects
  • Prepares and conducts business project reviews with senior management at each phase of the program
  • Communicates project status via strategic initiative reporting dashboard
  • Works collaboratively with the wider Commercial PMO and Deployment Solutions Account Activation teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives across the Commercial PMO
  • Designs tools and templates to support business objectives and initiatives
  • Translates strategic planning business vision into action plans with deliverables
  • Contributes to a collaborative team approach by partnering with leaders throughout the organization and helping create innovative solutions
  • Administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, planning and logistics as required by the role

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree required
  • 5+ years of cross-functional project or program management experience preferred
  • Account management experience considered beneficial
  • Experience with using project management tools, including Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Wrike, TEAMS and Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Smartsheet experience preferred
  • RAID Log management experience desirable
  • Proficient stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills, including chairing meetings with senior stakeholders
  • An ability to successfully drive projects involving various internal groups and multiple levels of management
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, and capable of working in cross-functional teams
  • Quantitative analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to a variety of complex problems
  • Possesses in-depth understanding and experience in the application of project and program management best practices and global standards
  • Bio-Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
