Job description

Asset Protection Security Specialist

Your strong organizational skills, operational mindset, and ability to coordinate multiple priorities make you a great fit for our Asset Protection Security Specialist position. Join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting enterprise Asset Protection operations, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening security programs across Dollar Tree retail locations.

About Your Role:

As an Asset Protection Security Specialist at Dollar Tree, you'll support enterprise Asset Protection operations by coordinating alarm monitoring, camera systems, access management, incident escalation, reporting, vendor support, and field operations across retail locations. In this role, you'll serve as a critical liaison between field leadership, vendors, Store Support Center (SSC) partners, and Asset Protection teams to improve response times, streamline communication, and maintain operational continuity. You'll also support the phased development of the Security Operations Center (SOC) model by helping centralize operational processes and monitoring workflows.

Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Security Operations & Incident Management:

  • Coordinate daily operational support for Asset Protection programs, systems, and field initiatives across retail store locations

  • Manage alarm escalations, monitoring workflows, dispatch coordination, false alarm follow-up, and issue resolution with internal and external partners

  • Determine appropriate escalation paths and coordinate response activities for operational incidents, system outages, emergency situations, and critical Asset Protection events

  • Provide operational support for emergency incidents, after-hours escalations, and critical Asset Protection events as needed

Systems Administration & Access Management:

  • Administer user access and permissions for Asset Protection security platforms and monitoring systems in accordance with company policies

  • Support camera systems and security platform administration, troubleshooting, and escalation management for platforms including Solink, Orchid, Everon, and related systems

  • Coordinate service requests, maintenance activities, and operational support for alarm, CCTV, access control, and product protection systems

  • Maintain operational documentation, workflows, SOPs, contact lists, and support materials for Asset Protection systems and programs

Vendor Coordination & Project Support:

  • Serve as a primary liaison between field leadership, vendors, SSC departments, and Asset Protection teams to facilitate issue resolution and operational continuity

  • Coordinate and track Asset Protection projects, including installation schedules, service requests, status reporting, and field communication

  • Coordinate vendor service activities, including repair prioritization, scheduling, escalation, and service resolution

  • Support installation and deployment activities to ensure successful execution of Asset Protection initiatives

Reporting, Analysis & Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain and distribute operational reports related to Asset Protection programs, incidents, vendor activity, installations, maintenance, and project execution

  • Monitor and analyze operational trends involving alarms, incidents, service issues, and program performance

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, workflow enhancements, and increased operational efficiency

  • Recommend operational adjustments and reporting improvements to improve system effectiveness and reduce false dispatch activity

Security Operations Center (SOC) Development:

  • Support the phased development of Security Operations Center (SOC) operational processes

  • Assist with centralized incident handling, monitoring workflows, escalation procedures, and communication standards

  • Contribute to the development of scalable operational processes that support enterprise Asset Protection objectives

Your Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields of study include Asset Protection, Criminal Justice, Business, Operations, Project Management, or related disciplines

  • 2-4 years of experience in Asset Protection, security operations, retail operations, project coordination, operational support, or a related field

  • Experience supporting operational workflows, reporting processes, vendor coordination, or multi-system environments

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and operational escalations simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Smartsheet

  • Ability to analyze operational information, maintain accurate reporting, identify process improvement opportunities, and support operational decision-making

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team-oriented goals

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience supporting alarm systems, camera platforms, access management systems, operational monitoring environments, or related security technologies

  • Experience working with security operations centers (SOC) or centralized monitoring environments

  • Knowledge of retail Asset Protection programs, operational support functions, and incident management processes

Start Rate = $77,000-$81,000 based on experience plus 10% bonus and equity.
