Technical Writer Job Details


We are looking for experienced technical writers. You will help us launch new, state-of-the-art wearable devices and platforms, including augmented reality, fitness coaching, and other comprehensive wearable technologies. As Senior Technical Writer you will work directly with our product, design and test teams to develop engineering documentation for building and using the most innovative wearable products. You will be working with enthusiastic and experienced peers in an environment that facilitates delivering industry-leading solutions with both creative-edge and high quality.ย 


  • Create clear and concise technical documentation to accompany the latest innovations in the wearable technology.ย 
  • Design user guides, platform architecture overviews, public API programming guides, public Web Portal user guides, Business Intelligence (BI) user guides, SDK development tutorials and other engineering documentation for the company's new wearable platform and products.ย 
  • Manage large and complex documentation projects, collaborate with senior engineers and program managers to create content.
  • Contributing to platform cloud specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document new features.
  • Showcase rich functionality and diversity of the newest wearable devices.ย 
  • Collaborating with remote global teams, including device, application, test, etc. to innovate new technologies with maximum development efficiency.ย 


Technical Writer Mandatory Skills


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experienceย 
  • 3-5 years of experience writing technical publications for a Portals/SDKs and public web servicesย 
  • Proven track record of researching and writing effective technical documentationย 
  • Ability to work with engineering teams as part of the software development processย 
  • Ability to understand RESTful web services using JSON or XMLย 
  • Ability to read and understand source code written in Java, Swift and/or NodeJSย 
  • Strong collaboration and project management skillsย 
  • Experience working directly within a software development team, including extensive interaction with senior engineers and software architectsย 
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentย 
  • You have a strong portfolio demonstrating prior work and experiences creating technical documentationย 
  • Proficiency with HTML and CSSย 
  • Experience working in Agile environment, knowledge of Scrum-based methodologiesย 
  • Knowledge of Android and/or iOS mobile platformsย 
  • Knowledge of web application UX/UI technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript)ย 
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and JIRAย
