Job description

The company has built a cloud-based policy administration platform over the past three years. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team to coordinate and execute the end-to-end release process, ensuring seamless deployment of software updates in our GitLab DevOps Platform while maintaining the integrity of our version control and the efficiency of the release process. Responsibilities ● Planning, coordination, and execution of application releases with several software development and testing teams ● Own the Release Management Process Flow supporting deployments from development to production ● Review and integrate code changes throughout the development process in the application’s GitLab environment ● Collaborate with developers resolving merge conflicts ensuring code quality and version control best practices are followed ● Develop release strategies and processes to provide quick-cadence release windows ● Maintain and update GitLab CI/CD pipelines ● Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues ● Work with Project Managers to prioritize release tasks based on impact and value ● Identify, communicate, and resolve risks related to deployments ● Accountable for appropriate release communications ● Continuously seek process improvements Requirements ● Previous experience supporting releases with CI/CD ● Experience with GitLab flow or supporting other branching strategies ● Experience with Git cli ● In-depth knowledge of SQL ● Strong bash scripting skills ● Fundamental knowledge of software development ● Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills ● Strong project management experience ● Experience in a fast-paced Agile development environment ● 5+ Years of relevant work experience Nice to Have • Experience with Python, Java, Typescript
