Position Summary
Sanco Thermo King is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Installer to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This position is responsible for installing new and used Thermo King refrigeration equipment and related components while ensuring quality workmanship, consistency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Essential Functions
  • Install new and used Thermo King refrigeration units and related equipment according to established procedures and manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with installed or re-installed equipment using EDITH diagnostic software and other diagnostic tools.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services, including inspections, oil changes, and equipment checks.
  • Complete work orders accurately and thoroughly in accordance with company service policies.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with customers regarding installation progress and equipment operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
  • Assist with shop operations and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous mechanical, installation, automotive, diesel, HVAC, or related experience preferred.
  • Technical degree, vocational training, or industry certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with refrigeration systems, electrical systems, or transport equipment is beneficial.
