Job description

Developer Solution Architect, Incubation

Axis is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Developer Solution Architect to join our growing Incubation team in the Americas. This role focuses on evaluating and adopting a developer-focused data pipeline service and shaping early-stage product direction. This position is based in Chelmsford, MA, with remote consideration for candidates located near an international airport who can work during Eastern Time Zone business hours.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the evaluation and adoption of a new developer-focused data pipeline service
  • Lead developer onboarding and evaluation processes, guiding prospects through setup, testing, and early production use
  • Support hands‑on proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) and pilot programs to accelerate time‑to‑value
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor during the evaluation phase
  • Serve as the "voice of the developer," identifying friction points, gaps, and opportunities across the developer journey
  • Analyze and document recurring challenges across the developer journey, including platform and service limitations, and deliver structured feedback and evaluation summaries to product and leadership teams
  • Enhance developer experience by improving onboarding flows, documentation, and technical resources
  • Develop reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, scripts, and sample implementations
  • Support developer workshops and technical enablement initiatives
  • Partner with go‑to‑market teams to create technical narratives, demos, and proof points for developers, ISVs, and system integrators
  • Contribute to reporting on program progress, KPIs, and emerging opportunities
  • Represent Axis at industry events, trade shows, and developer forums
Qualifications
  • Strong hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficiency working with APIs, data pipelines, and developer tools
  • Ability to quickly understand and clearly explain complex technical systems
  • Experience supporting developer-facing products or services (e.g., SaaS platforms, APIs)
  • A problem‑solving mindset with a passion for working directly with developers
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify true product gaps versus feature requests
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate detailed technical feedback into executive‑level insights
  • Self‑motivated, collaborative, and outcome‑oriented approach to work
  • Comfort working in fast‑paced, ambiguous, and early‑stage environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud‑based software development environments
  • Experience contributing to or supporting incubation or early‑stage product initiatives (preferred)
  • Background in data services, computer vision, or AI/ML pipelines (preferred)
