Job Description:

 The IT Software Asset Manager, working in a team environment, is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the necessary process(s) to manage pertinent information on technology-based software and hardware assets and their status. The immediate focus of this position will be on software asset management (SAM) to understand and control software licensing costs and avoid legal pitfalls related to licensing by leveraging industry’s best practices.

Key responsibilities include:
Development of and implementation of the SAM strategy across the enterprise.
Construct and optimize business processes/policies to ensure pertinent hardware and software assets are recorded, tracked and reported.
Lead the implementation of asset tracking methods or solutions across the enterprise.
Monitor terms and conditions of software license usage and remediate anomalies when identified.
Actively maintain a working knowledge of company''s core business processes to allow for the effective application of practical solutions and efficiency opportunities.
Lead integration of SAM processes within the existing company ITSM framework and leverage the ServiceNow investment.
Develop and implement performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to capture process efficiency and effectiveness.
Report the progress and impact of efforts to digital leadership.
