Aurorate LLC is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Department in supporting manufacturing operations, new product introduction (NPI), process development, continuous improvement, and customer product launches. The Engineering Manager will oversee engineering personnel, drive process optimization, ensure product quality, and support the successful introduction of new products from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Engineering Department while providing technical guidance and support to engineering staff.
  • Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from customer drawings through production launch.
  • Review, interpret, and maintain customer product drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including:
    • Process Parameters
    • Work Instructions
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Engineering Documentation
  • Design and develop production tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing solutions.
  • Coordinate the development, production, and on-time delivery of initial product samples while working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC documentation, and process capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Ppk, CMK).
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost.
  • Troubleshoot production and process-related issues while supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to achieve production and customer objectives.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with customer requirements, company quality standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 58 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
  • Experience preparing engineering documentation, work instructions, process parameters, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX (UG).
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
    • Engineering Change Notices (ECN)
    • Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
    • Control Plans
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
    • Process Capability Studies (Cp, Cpk, Ppk, CMK)
  • Experience developing, validating, and delivering initial product samples to customers.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting APQP and PPAP activities.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, metal fabrication, industrial equipment, tubing, or similar manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
