Job overview:

Schneider is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Green Bay to create solutions for business problems through the designing and programming of automated systems. The Software Engineer will provide senior-level support through analyzing, designing, developing and maintaining custom program code and applications that support business processes and functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in one or more specialties.
  • Work independently on complex work and projects.
  • Design, code, test, debug and implement solutions for new system development, enhancements of existing systems and implementation of third-party products.
  • Perform complex tasks relating to the design and development of solutions requiring design patterns, performance considerations and supportability by others.
  • Support the resolution of deployment, warranty and post-warranty issues and defects and other domain-related design problems.
  • Work with other IT associates throughout the full software development life cycle.
  • Coach and lead less experienced IT associates.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant IT experience.
  • Advanced in Java-based software development.
  • Advanced knowledge of system design and development, development patterns, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
  • Understanding of business and IT strategies, architectural standards and software capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
