Job description

PLEX Solutions, A Part of Markon is looking for Software Development Engineers.  This work maybe performed in Arlington, VA, (OR) Herndon, VA (OR) Jessup, MD depending on the location that works best for the candidate.


  • Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph is required
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software development and related engineering experience
  • Design and develop backend services and APIs in Rust for a cloud-based platform that manages fleet lifecycle operations including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, firmware updates, and policy enforcement across multiple high assurance devices.
  • Architect and implement authentication and authorization frameworks for secure device-to-cloud communication.
  • Demonstrate advanced networking expertise including TCP/IP protocols, routing, subnetting, VPN architectures, load balancing strategies, DNS management, and network security controls such as firewalls, security groups, and network segmentation for secure cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Build highly available, scalable service components for telemetry ingestion, health monitoring, configuration distribution, and alerting across a distributed device fleet.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing of cloud-to-device interactions.
  • Familiarity with AWS networking services, tools, infrastructure as code and CDK development
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS cloud architectures with a strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns, service integration, and operational best practices.
  • Experience with Rust application development
  • Experience with computer and memory optimized application development

USD $120,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
