We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support critical Air Force and DoD information technology programs. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing, developing, modernizing, and maintaining enterprise applications and mission-critical software platforms while supporting operational mission objectives. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and program teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise web applications and distributed software systems.
  • Architect, develop, and support RESTful APIs and service-oriented solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and related frontend technologies.
  • Lead technical design and software architecture initiatives utilizing object-oriented programming principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Support migration and modernization efforts involving legacy applications, cloud-based platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain database solutions utilizing SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Redis, and related technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, deployment, and production support activities.
  • Develop technical documentation, architectural diagrams, interface specifications, and software lifecycle artifacts.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI-assisted capabilities, automation tools, and integration frameworks.
  • Analyze application performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, maintainability, and user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience supporting enterprise technology environments.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, and object-oriented software development.
  • Experience developing enterprise web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and service integrations.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or similar relational database platforms.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile development practices.
