Summary:
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working closely with development teams, writing automation code, improving testing frameworks, and contributing to scalable CI/CD environments. The team is looking for someone with a strong engineering mindset who is comfortable operating across both software development and quality engineering functions. * Write and maintain Python-based automation scripts and frameworks
* Support API automation efforts using Postman and related tooling
* Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and engineering teams on testing strategy and code quality
* Participate in code reviews, merge reviews, and CI/CD integration activities
* Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and reusable testing components
* Support GitLab CI/CD pipeline maintenance and automation workflows
* Contribute to cloud-based infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using AWS and Terraform
* Assist with updating AMIs, maintaining pipeline components, and improving deployment workflows
* Troubleshoot automation, infrastructure, and testing issues across development environments
* Utilize Linux and Bash scripting for automation and operational support activities
* Support logging, troubleshooting, and operational analysis using Splunk and related monitoring tools
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-7 years of experience in SDET, test automation, or software quality engineering
* Strong hands-on experience with Python automation
* Experience with API and UI automation testing
* Familiarity with Postman and API validation workflows
* Experience working in CI/CD environments using GitLab or similar platforms
* Exposure to Terraform, AWS, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
* Experience collaborating closely with software engineering teams
* Comfortable participating in code reviews and contributing to development workflows
* Experience working within Agile software development environments
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Java and/or TypeScript
* Exposure to Angular or lightweight UI development
* Experience with Linux and Bash scripting
* SQL knowledge or database testing experience
* Experience with Splunk or log analysis platforms
* Familiarity with PySpark or data-processing frameworks
* Experience supporting enterprise-scale automation frameworks and cloud-native applications
Ideal Candidate:
* Hands-on and technically curious
* Strong communicator and collaborator
* Comfortable working across development and testing functions
* Growth-oriented with strong engineering fundamentals
* Willing to remain deeply involved in automation and technical problem-solving
