Job Summary:

The Sr Software Test Engineer will be responsible for testing the functionality and performance of medical device software systems, developing test plans, and ensuring compliance with technical and functional requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Tests the functionality and performance of medical device software systems and software applications.
• Develops and executes test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in medical device software systems and software applications.
• Develop automation scripts using tools such as Python and other scripting languages
• Support the development of System and Software Requirements
• Create test plans, test protocols, and test reports used for regulatory submissions.
• Execute test protocols for medical devices software systems
• Ensures medical device software systems and software applications meet technical and functional requirements.
• Performs workflow analysis, documents test results and recommends quality improvements.
• Works with development to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models.
• Reviews test automation frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
• Experience in testing the functionality and performance of medical device software systems and software applications.
• Experience in developing and executing test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in medical device software systems and software applications.
• Experience in developing automation scripts using tools such as Python and other scripting languages.
• Experience in supporting the development of System and Software Requirements.
• Experience in creating test plans, test protocols, and test reports used for regulatory submissions.
• Experience in executing test protocols for medical devices software systems.
• Experience in ensuring medical device software systems and software applications meet technical and functional requirements.
• Experience in performing workflow analysis, documenting test results and recommending quality improvements.
• Experience in working with development to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models.
• Experience in reviewing test automation frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• Experience in conducting tool validation activities.
• Experience in managing completion of own work assignments and coordinating work with others.
Preferred:
• Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated industries.
• Experience with test case management software tools.
• Experience with scripting software (Python or similar).
• Experience with requirements management tools (Polarion, DOORS, etc…).
• Experience with developing and maintaining automated testing systems.
• Experience with testing software-controlled hardware devices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
