Hiwave makes connecting in person awesome and effortless. Our smart products allow you to instantly connect with people you meet by sharing your information with one tap of your phone. Our flagship product, the HiWave sticker, uses simple NFC (near field communication) technology to help you instantly share your phone number, social media handles, and any other info you want, and our app then allows you to easily recall and follow up. Other people don't need an app or a sticker to tap and get your info.

Job Description

This position will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of social media with a focus on Instagram -- everything from content creation, post scheduling, image management, customer engagement and more. We're a growing web startup that sells digital products. You'll have the chance to help build our company from the ground up. Responsibilities will include:

  • Create and build company brand aesthetic on Instagram 
  • Schedule and monitor content calendar 
  • Creation of content - capture photos and videos for posts
  • Utilize Photoshop, Canva, and other web design tools to produce graphics
  • Work closely with marketing team to build Instagram promotions
  • Implement active engagement strategy across channels
  • Monitor and produce competitor analysis  
  • Research and collaborate with PR intern to plan influencer promotions 
  • Build and update HiWave's LinkedIn profile  
  • Stay abreast of company updates to promote on channels
Qualifications

You might be perfect for this position if you are:

  • Have experience building business Instagram profiles and using content calendars 

  • Have strong ability to visualize an Instagram feed and adapt to brand personality 

  • Are pursuing or have completed a /marketing/communications degree, with an emphasis in digital media as a plus

  • Extremely passionate for online marketing and data analysis

  • A self-starter and excel in a fast-paced, creative environment

  • Analytical, and great at communication and conceptual skills

  • Detail-oriented, organized with the ability to work both independently and part of a team
