Job description

KMC Controls, Inc., a leader in innovative building automation and control solutions, is seeking a skilled SMT Process Technician to join our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team. This position plays a key role in supporting our SMT operations, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our electronic assembly processes. What You'll Do As an SMT Process Technician, you will: Program and optimize SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, reflow ovens, automated optical inspection (AOI), and conveyors

Troubleshoot and resolve advanced SMT machine issues such as part picking, orientation, fiducials, tray/pick adjustments, and nozzle/vacuum errors. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including feeder and nozzle upkeep. Assist in New Product Introduction (NPI), prototypes, and manufacturability reviews.

Train and support SMT operators to ensure consistency and best practices. Drive process improvements to reduce cycle times, increase yields, and improve product quality. .
