Job description

a well-established commercial construction firm known for delivering complex ground-up and renovation projects, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team across Westchester County and New York City project sites. This role leads on-site construction operations and plays a critical role in keeping projects safe, on schedule, and built to high quality standards.
What You'll Do as the Construction Superintendent:
  • Oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects from early sitework through interior completion
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain efficient workflow
  • Manage the construction schedule and ensure sequencing aligns with project milestones
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with all site policies
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to confirm accurate installation
  • Monitor jobsite productivity, logistics, and manpower allocation
  • Identify field issues early and collaborate with project teams to resolve conflicts
  • Perform routine quality inspections across all phases of construction
  • Maintain daily reports, field documentation, and photo progress updates
  • Communicate jobsite progress, risks, and solutions with project management and stakeholders

Must-Haves as the Construction Superintendent:
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple trades
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and building systems
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage field teams
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
