Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Slot Supervisor will be responsible for the successful operation of the slot floor and the casino beverage department during their assigned shift. They will verify jackpots and ensure compliance with all internal controls and Gaming regulations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years experience in Slots/Gaming preferred

  •  2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of the various families of Microsoft Office products.

  • Must be able to obtain and hold a valid Gaming license.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive.  Other reasonable duties may be assigned.

  • Provides exceptional guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations and ensure the safety and security of all guests.

  • Responsible to the Slot Manager/Slot Shift Manager for successful performance of assigned duties.

  • Responsible for the supervision and performance of the Slot Attendants and the Casino Beverage Department.

  • Responsible for reviewing staffing levels to maintain budgeted and forecasted levels of employment.

  • Responsible for the training of Slot Attendants and assisting - when needed - the Slot attendants on the floor. Delegates authority and assigns responsibilities.

  • Responsible for the development of the existing staff, also responsible for interviews, hiring, evaluation, coaching and discipline of employees.

  • Responsible for familiarity of departmental financial data.

  • Handles guest relations and minor guest disputes.

  • Creating a clean, safe, friendly and fun atmosphere for all guests and employees.

  • Completing all company-required training within designated time frames.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position.

  • Proficient management skills.  Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships with personnel from various departments.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.  Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and obtain results.

  • Ability to complete slot-related paperwork with minimal errors.

  • Ability to read and write simple instructions and will be able to interpret regulatory documents.

  • Knowledge of Gaming laws and regulations, all special events and promotional activities.

  • Exceptional communication skills - both oral and written.

  • Ability to accurately perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and an interruptive environment.

  • Willingness and ability to assume overall responsibility of the gaming floor in the absence of the Slot Shift Manager.

  • Assume a broad variety of tasks and deadlines that often requires working irregular schedules.

  • Must possess the ability to move effectively and efficiently throughout the slot floor - sitting 10%, walking 70%, standing 10%, bending/lifting 10% - lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Exposed to electricity and an environment of varying temperatures. 

  • Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoked filled casino environment with noise levels.

  • Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Must be able to maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude at all times.

  • Complete company-required training modules.

  • Be a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests.  Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a "yes we can" attitude, every guest every time.
