Responsibilities

  • The Lead Slot Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic gaming devices, including the slot monitoring system. This position provides technical leadership and guidance to slot technicians while ensuring all gaming equipment operates efficiently and in compliance with company policies and gaming regulations.
  • Lead and assist technicians in the installation, relocation, conversion, and configuration of electronic gaming devices and slot machines
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair slot machines, peripheral equipment, and slot monitoring systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, software updates, and hardware upgrades on gaming devices
  • Monitor gaming floor equipment performance and ensure minimal machine downtime
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to slot technicians and team members
  • Coordinate and prioritize repair requests, maintenance schedules, and project assignments
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and inventory tracking for slot parts and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, manufacturer standards, and gaming regulatory requirements
  • Assist management with departmental procedures, process improvements, and operational goals
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, internal departments, and casino management regarding equipment issues and resolutions
  • Respond promptly to gaming floor issues and emergency service calls
  • Attend departmental and company meetings as required

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience related to nature of position
  • Experience repairing and maintaining electronic gaming devices and slot systems
  • Strong knowledge of slot machine hardware, software, and slot accounting/monitoring systems
  • Ability to lead and mentor technicians
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable gaming licenses/certifications required by jurisdiction
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to communicate with internal and/or external guests
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions, and apply to practical situations using fractions, percentages, measurements, proportions, and problem solving
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English
  • Must be able to lift and push more than 50 lbs. and carry up to 30 lbs
