Job Description
The Lead Slot Performance Technician will be reporting to the Slot Performance Supervisor. The Slot Performance Lead Technician is responsible for installing, testing and maintaining electronic components, sub-systems and systems required for efficient and continuous conduction of business operations. The Slot Performance Lead Technician will act as a Slot Performance Supervisor as assigned.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the Supervise on duty, when assigned, and direct the daily operations of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures, internal controls and gaming regulations and are in complete compliance at all times.
  • Mentor and provide training to Slot Performance Technicians
  • Inspect and test assigned equipment, noting all defective parts and making recommendations for correction
  • Perform required adjustments and repairs to electronic and electro-mechanical equipment as assigned. Perform preventative maintenance to slot machines either on the floor, or in the slot shop
  • Observe all safety regulations in the performance of assigned duties, and report any safety hazards to assigned supervisor
  • Ensure that you understand and enforce the policies and procedures, internal controls, and gaming regulations and are in complete compliance at all times
  • Provide 100% accuracy and accountability on all documentation that is required by the Slot Performance department
  • Uphold the integrity of vital information in and around the Slot Performance department
  • Provide prompt and courteous service when repairing or verifying transactions at machines
  • Performs tasks as requested by the department's leadership team
  • Routinely strives to build and maintain rapport with customers making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Acts as a role model; always presents oneself as and encourages others to do the same
  • Coordinates with casino management and security to detect and prevent attempts to cheat or damage gaming equipment and to identify and report floor irregularities

Qualifications
  • Electronics degree or equivalent electronic experience is preferred
  • Installation, maintenance and repair of electronic systems and equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electronic/electrical technical equipment is desirable
  • Proficient in the use of tools of the trade including hand power and machine equipment testing devices and instruments, as applicable
  • Should understand schematic diagrams needed in the repair of slot machines as well as mechanical blue prints
  • Knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations pertaining to slot operations a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Possess an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Know how to use Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Possess a strong initiative to assist both guests and fellow employees

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (8-12 hours).
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
  • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
