Job Description

The successful candidate will provide friendly, courteous and efficient guest service and ensure a prompt response to all guests' needs. You will also provide cashiering, slot machine services, transaction verification, assistance and oversight to Slot Service Specialists. 

  • Adhere to all department and property policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity.
  • Coach, monitor, and develop team members for improved performance
  • Issuing timely performance evaluations on subordinates while offering developmental guidelines and resources to achieve goals
  • Through teamwork with other Slot Supervisors and the Slot Service Specialists, ensure great guest service and prompt response to guests' needs at all times
  • Assure that the slot machines are operating properly and that all jackpot payoffs are executed in a timely manner according to company policy
  • Verify, process, and authorize jackpot payouts
  • Support and assist Slot Service Specialists and other Slot Supervisors on the Casino Floor
  • General monitoring of job performance of Slot Service Specialists
  • Consistently monitor and manage the departments' labor and payroll standards.
  • Assist Guests with general questions concerning the Casino
  • Respond to change lights on slot machines and assist customers needing change or other assistance
  • Other various duties as assigned by the Casino Operations Assistant Shift Manager
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One-year slot experience or prior slot experience
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills for both internal and external guests.
  • Ability to count money and make change.
  • Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Supervisory skills, preferred but not required. 
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
  • Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image
  • Ability to establish rapport with other team members throughout the casino
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times
  • Be able to work in a fast paced 24/7 environment.
  • Must be available to work some nights, weekends and holidays.
