Reports To: Slot Assistant Director
Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Slot Assistant Director, the Slot Manager is responsible for the day-to-day slot operations on an assigned shift. Responsible for supervising, managing, and monitoring the overall slot area including all slot department team members for efficiency, guest service, adherence to all departmental, Talking Stick Resort/Casino Arizona, Community Regulatory Agency (CRA), Arizona Department of Gaming (ADOG) policies, procedures, and directives, protecting all the Organization's assets. Develop and mentors team members. Provides motivation and promotes positive morale among casino staff. Interacts with all department managers to produce the best possible service for the casino's guests. Adheres to and champions our core values, mission, and vision always. Provides information and support concerning events, promotions, and other property information daily to the slot team. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise activities of the Slot Supervisors, Slot Keys, and Technician I, II, III (as needed). Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training new employees; continued training and education for slot team members, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; providing corrective action as needed; addressing complaints and resolving concerns. Recognizing positive employee performance, submitting for Catch a Star, Safety awards, Employee of the Month, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
* Promotes positive guest relations, greets guests, and creates a friendly atmosphere.
* Actively promotes Salt River Rewards program by interacting with guests and advising them of the benefits of using a card.
* Generate new signups for Salt River Rewards members or offer re-prints for active members.
* Ensures compliance with guest service policies, goes above and beyond to ensure all team members are providing superior guest service.
* Always Adheres to the High Limit Service Standards, monitors Team Member service levels and evaluates Team Members based on Job Expectation Task Competencies.
* Works with other departments to maintain the standard for our guests.
* Addresses Guest and Employee incidents in an efficient and timely manner in alignment with our Administrative/Department Policy and Procedures, Department SOP, and Internal controls.
* Investigates and resolves guest complaints in a positive win/win fashion using all the resources available and using sound business practices in accordance with our policies and procedures.
* Adheres to all departmental, Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort, CRA and ADOG policies, procedures, and directives, ensuring the protection of the organizations assets.
* Is responsible for accuracy and timeliness of all required departmental, Casino, CRA, or ADOG reports.
* Responsible for the enforcement of all applicable regulations, under the code of Federal Regulations, Title 31,
* Reports to the Assistant Slot Director daily, all pertinent information, including but not limited to, team member issues, guest issues, regulatory issues, and inter departmental issues on the casino floor. Documenting all incidents and providing that documentation timely to the Assistant Slot Director. Ensuring information is passed between shifts.
* Observes and recognizes irregularities, violations, or other discrepancies on the Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort properties involving personnel or guests and institutes appropriate action.
* Welcome and ensure all Slot Operational employees are on time and prepared for assigned shift duties.
* Assists in the planning and administering work schedules and assignments.
* Monitors slot floor coverage throughout the shift and adjust as needed and for call outs.
* Ensures that staffing levels match business volumes and adjusts the schedule or current levels on an ongoing basis.
* Creates daily floor schedules to ensure adequate coverage. This includes approving/denying PTO for slot team members.
* Applies fair and consistent supervision and disciplinary practices.
* Motivates team members to achieve peak productivity and performance.
* Monitors the performance of direct reports. initiating corrective action (to include performance improvement plans), according to Administrative and Departmental policies.
* Ensures all Slot Personal meet the uniform standards prior to start of shift.
* Ensures all evaluations for assigned team members are completed on time.
* Assists in hiring, training, and termination of slot personnel.
* Supervises and assists Slot Technical personnel as needed, knows the slot project schedules.
* Fosters a positive and friendly work environment with all departments and on every shift.
* Ensures that team members work with security personnel and other casino staff, as necessary.
* Arrives at start of shift with enough time to receive an update from outgoing Shift (on topics such as business volumes, call outs, technical projects, list not all inclusive).
* Ensures entire slot floor runs smoothly using direct observations, employee updates, and system generated reports to make supervisory decisions.
* Monitors and ensures office supplies, forms and other supplies related to floor operations are readily available.
* Assists in creating and issuing reports.
* Prepares shift reports daily.
* Ensures tidiness and cleanliness of responsible areas.
* Assists in liquor sweeps, as needed.
* Understands the various types of slot and video gaming device cheating methods and is able to recognize any potential attempts while monitoring assigned section.
* Assists in the coordination and preparation of special slot functions and promotions, assist when needed.
* Attends and actively participates in mandatory meetings as scheduled.
* Authorizes jackpots according to approved policies and completes required forms.
* Reports all large Jackpots, according to established thresholds, to all required individuals.
* Assists with the planning and budget preparation for the department.
* Based on business needs, issue Comps as outlined in the administrative Comp Policies.
* Monitors the operation for suspicious activities including but not limited to Excluded Patrons, or illegal activity and reports the activities to the appropriate parties immediately.
* Adheres to and champions initiatives to further our core values, mission, and vision statement.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree preferred. Five years of casino slot gaming experience required, and 3 years of experience in a supervisory or manager role. Working knowledge of Casino Management Systems and Casino related Systems required.
Computer Skills
Must have skills in operating computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint), also an understanding of casino management systems.

* Must have knowledge of mechanical functions and play aspects of slot machines, procedures, and casino floor operations.
* Must be able to use the slot management system for statistical game performance reporting, player tracking, and other system-generated reports daily.
