Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, provides efficient and accurate service to guests at slot machines on the casino floor; provides change, manual cash outs, token fills and jackpots; clears jams on slot machines; and performs other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This class specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)
Make rounds of the casino floor to provide service to guests needing change, refill tokens and coins in slot machines or effect minor repairs in order to provide excellent customer service and to promote the Carson Nugget as the "friendliest casino in town".
Respond to guests' questions, providing information about casino gaming promotions, special and other events and/or programs in order to assist guests, advertise marketing campaigns and encourage guest attendance and participation


Provide manual cash outs on winning machines, when requested by guests, by contacting the appropriate back up personnel as determined by the size of the cash out or jackpot in order to assure guest satisfaction.
Answer service calls on slot machines, determining the nature of the problem, and clears minor ticket, bill or singular coin jams to ensure a minimum of guest play interruption.
Check out bank from the vault at the beginning of each shift and keep an appropriate amount of currency on hand during the shift to complete all cash transactions; check in bank at the close of shift, completing all required records.


Respond to guests' questions, using the Quick Reference Guide to provide information about casino gaming promotions, special and other events and/or programs in order to assist guests, advertise marketing campaigns and encourage guest attendance and participation.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the appearance of the slot area by performing clean-up as necessary to achieve a neat and welcoming environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
