CLASSIFICATION: Key Employee

SUMMARY:

Under general direction from the Gaming Machine Shift Supervisor, promotes a positive customer experience by providing accurate change for patrons; addressing questions or concerns about how Class II Gaming machines are played and the types of payouts; and resolving tilts and jams in a prompt and courteous manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greets guests in a prompt, professional and courteous manner offering assistance, instruction, and advice on various types of Class II Gaming machines.

Provides accurate change to patrons as requested.

Observes all patron activity within assigned area; responds to questions from Casino Guests on machine functions and payouts.

Assists guests when machines are in need of repairs by contacting and confirming assistance of a Gaming Machine Technician; resolves tilts and jams as requested.

Safeguards company assets by keeping track of keys, funds and security access cards.

Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.

Responds to customers requests in a prompt and professional manner; contacts supervisor as needed.

Completes jackpot/cancel credit payouts and all relevant paperwork accurately and within established time lines.

Completes jackpot payouts and ticket fills within established time lines and completes documentation as required.

Assists in cleaning and maintenance of the Gaming Machine areas and assists in maintaining inventory of supplies.

Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies and procedures, in all areas at all times.

Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.

Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of six (6) months customer service and money handling experience.

Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.

Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.

Ability to represent the Casino in a professional manner, building respect and confidence.

Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

No felony or theft convictions.

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.

Tribal preference.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of basic math and arithmetic.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is generally performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a moderate noise level.

Extended hours and irregular shifts are required.

Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
