Job description

Slot Technician
SUMMARY
Performs needed repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance to slot machines either on the floor or in the Slot Repair Shop. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures and all internal and external regulations. Ensures that slot machines are in good working order. Assures excellent guest service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Performs needed repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance to slot machines as directed by supervisor.
  2. Assists will all slot machines moves.
  3. Identifies and resolves guest concerns.
  4. Participates in departmental brainstorming meetings.
  5. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of one to two years experience on slot machines and associated equipment. Formal electronics training required. Advanced knowledge of electronics to include: Surface mount soldering and disordering; Operation of test equipment to repair video monitors; Troubleshooting and repair circuit boards used in slot equipment. Must have a minimum of two years experience as a slot technician or equivalent training and education.
  3. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
  4. Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
  5. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings. Must be able to be mobile throughout the casino.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions involve walking in all gaming areas. Work may require weekend and evening work. Must work calmly and under stress when the volume of business increases. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke and high noise levels.
