Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Under direction/supervision from Lead and/or Supervisor, clean ceilings, walls floors, windows, slot machines and all related furniture and equipment within and out of the casino including offices and assigned buildings on the property.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to:

  • Sweep, mop, polish and strip floors.
  • Dust and/or polish furniture, blinds, and equipment.
  • Clean restrooms and fill dispensers.
  • Vacuum, spot clean, and/or shampoo rugs, carpets, and furniture using commercial-type vacuum cleaners and shampooing equipment.
  • Report malfunction of bathroom fixtures, light fixtures, and/or damages to room and hall furnishings to supervisor.
  • Stock area with appropriate supplies.
  • Lock and unlock doors as directed.
  • Initiate work orders for repair/maintenance.
  • Move furniture, equipment or fixtures as required.
  • Wash dishes or utensils as required.
  • May replace light bulbs.
  • Perform bio-hazard clean up as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as removal of all trash, dirty rags, stock closets, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

  2. Work Experience:
    1. One (1) year of custodial experience or any equivalent combination of experience and /or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards of basic cleaning skills.
  4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements: N/A
  5. Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
  7. Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
  8. Must be committed to providing exceptional guest service through a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment. Aim to exceed guest expectations with attentive, personalized service and prompt responses and resolution.
