Job description

The Slot Technician I is responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of the slot floor, ensuring gaming devices are functioning properly and in compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, and internal controls. This entry-level position is ideal for a motivated self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and basic repairs on various brands and models of slot machines.
  • Assist with the installation, conversion, relocation, and removal of slot machines and related equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the player tracking system and associated peripherals.
  • Respond to and assist Supervisors with guest service issues and slot-related disputes in accordance with company procedures and gaming regulations.
  • Ensure all gaming devices and activities comply with applicable federal, state, tribal, and company gaming regulations and internal controls.
  • Accurately document repairs, machine movements, conversions, and maintenance activities as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with Management regarding operational issues, machine performance, and guest concerns.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct oneself in a manner that reflects positively on Casino Fandango.
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships with guests, team members, vendors, and regulatory representatives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of AC/DC electrical theory preferred.
  • Previous technical, mechanical, or gaming experience is a plus but not required.
Additional Requirements
  • Basic computer proficiency required; experience with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred.
  • Must present a professional, well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Ability to respond professionally and courteously to guest and team member inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and maintain positive working relationships with guests, team members, management, vendors, and regulatory representatives.
  • Ability to handle difficult or intoxicated guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must be able to work in an environment containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lighting, and dust.

  • Must be able to lift, move, and transport slot machines and related equipment safely.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required licenses, registrations, and certifications.
