About the Role

The Shift Manager Slot Operations will assist the Director Slot Operations, assuming those responsibilities to cover days off, vacations and other times as needed.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of the Department's strategic operating plan and capital budget
  • Develops training programs with an emphasis on customer service and supervisory leadership
  • Oversees Department staffing levels, making appropriate adjustments and recommendations to scheduling personnel on all shifts
  • Monitors existing internal controls for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Attends guest functions with premium players and addresses problem situations that cannot be resolved by subordinates
  • Supervises Slot Department team members to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures, with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Circulates assigned area and observes Slot Department team members performing normal job duties, offering positive and corrective feedback as needed.
  • Enhances the guest experience by clearly communicating to them the functionality of the Ocean player card and the advantages of club membership.
  • Ensures that all Department activities reflect the policies and regulations of the company/property/Department as well as compliance with all CCC and DGE regulations

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs

What’s Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Four years’ experience in Slot Operations with two years as a Slot Supervisor preferred
  • The ability to speak, read and write in English
