PAY RANGE: $68,307 - $122,096 annually  

DEPARTMENT: Branch Banking 

Educational Employees Credit Union is growing!  We are seeking a Branch Manager to lead our new branch in San Luis Obispo, CA. We currently serve more than 400,000 members and have over $5 billion in assets; this location will be our 24th EECU branch. About this position: 


Under the supervision of the Regional Branch Director, you will hire and lead a high performing team that serves the diverse needs of San Luis Obispo County. You will promote superior service with a competent team of sales and service employees, motivate staff to attain assigned goals, as well as deepen member relationships with EECU. You will help to represent EECU within the community, making a difference to strengthen our presence in San Luis Obispo County.


Your profile as the Branch Manager:

  • Makes smart decisions to meet the demands of the business through hiring, educating and motivating staff that accomplish      goals and exceed member service expectations.
  • Serves others through a passionate pursuit to deepen member relationships by attending community related events, as well as      forming new and enhancing existing partnerships within the community.
  • Possesses strong people skills.
  • Effectively communicate with members, peers, subordinates and superiors using various mediums.
  • Inspire and effectively motivate your team and lead by example.
  • Develop, coach and mentor your team to be advocates to educate our members about credit union products, services, and financial wellness.

Who we are looking for:  

  • Branch management experience, including teller, platform, and consumer lending experience is preferred.
  • Strong business development background being involved in the San Luis Obispo community helping to drive business into the branch and servicing the needs of the community.
  • A natural networker willing to participate in local community events to develop relationships with members and prospective members; acts as a liaison between the credit union and the community.
  • Passion for helping people achieve financial stability and for the credit union philosophy of "people helping people."
  • Track record of meeting goals while maintaining high member and employee satisfaction. 


Requirements

The ideal candidate must be proficient in procedures and processes normally conducted in a credit union branch office and hold, or qualify to hold, a position of Branch or Assistant Branch Manager, or have applicable related experience. Certification of a leadership course, or equivalent, is a plus. Current, or future, successful completion of the sales training, MAT and consumer lending training, is desired.


This position may require a credit check for those individuals being considered for interviews.
