Location: Wabash, Indiana

Hours: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30AM - 4:30PM

Ideal Experience, Background & Skills:

• Organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to assess and address the immediate needs of individuals in crisis situations.
• Ability to maintain regulatory compliance and thorough documentation practices.
• Knowledge of CARF, BDDS, and BQIS standards and regulations
• Adaptability, flexibility, communication, problem solving, leadership and basic computing skills.
• American Heart Association CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field or 3+ years of experience working in the field developmental disabilities desirable, but not required
• CNA Certification is desirable but not required.

As the Wabash Site Manager, you'll spend your days:

• Providing direct supervision, training, and performance evaluations for Direct Support Professionals, ensuring they deliver top-tier support. Individuals at the Wabash site are in high medical need including but not limited to: G-tube, colostomy bag, catheter and tracheostomy.
• Providing effective direction, guidance, and motivational environment to enhance employee and team performance.
• Ensuring Compliance: Maintain adherence to all regulatory requirements and ensure that procedures and policies are up to date and effectively implemented.
• Providing direct care as needed, including assistance with self-care activities, transportation, and behavior plan implementation.
• Overseeing the operations of day services site, managing individual cases, and responding to emergencies or crises.
• Ensuring medications are administered in compliance with nursing directions.
• Documenting and Reporting: Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required reports, including incident/accident reports, case notes, and program data.
• Promoting Agency-wide safety and housekeeping as well as taking a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and delivery of quality service.

Requirements

Experience: Must be 18 years or older; must possess a valid driver's license, adequate automobile insurance, and meet agency insurability requirements.

Knowledge: Must have knowledge of health & safety regulations, CARF, BDDS and BQIS standards and regulations; be able to learn (instruction provided) basic principles of teaching; must have good basic mathematical computation and English Language writing knowledge.

Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, bend, stoop or stand for extended periods; must be able to assist in lifting or transferring individuals to and from wheelchairs; must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as but not limited to: gloves, masks, gowns, face shields, shoes, ear plugs, etc.

Safety and Compliance: Must be able to follow all required safe and universal precaution practices during a pandemic and as required otherwise; as required by specific job requirements must know first aid, health & safety measures or build an acceptable competence level by post-hire training.
