In this role, you will work on highly customized projects- translating creative concepts into precise, buildable 2D and 3D fabrication drawings. From multifamily and corporate environments to custom trade show exhibits and branded spaces, no two projects are the same. Your work will play a key role in bringing complex, visually compelling designs to life.

Position Overview

The Signage Detailer translates concept sketches and renderings into detailed Vectorworks, Adobe Suites, 2D and 3D modeling / fabrication drawings that guide production and installation.

This role works closely with the Art Director, design consultants, project managers, and fabrication team to ensure projects are engineered accurately and ready for production.

Successful candidates understand how to create drawings that consider materials, fabrication methods, cost efficiency, and installation requirements.


Key ResponsibilitiesSignage Detailing & Production Support
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Vectorworks and Illustrator
  • Convert design renderings into fabrication-ready shop drawings
  • Develop CNC cut files and bills of material
  • Prepare graphic layouts using Adobe Illustrator
  • Coordinate dimensions, details, and construction methods
  • Ensure drawings account for cost efficiency, durability, and installation
  • Review and coordinate third-party shop drawings
  • Maintain organized and accurate project file management
Collaboration
  • Work closely with design, project management, and fabrication teams
  • Provide technical clarification to production teams
  • Update drawings based on client feedback and design revisions
  • Participate in project and production meetings

QualificationsRequired
  • 3+ years of Signage detailing experience
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software
  • Experience creating shop drawings or fabrication drawings
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator
  • Ability to interpret design renderings and technical concepts
Preferred
  • Experience in multifamily and corporate signage
  • Experience creating CNC cut files
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop a plus
  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
