Diamond Signs & Graphics is seeking to fill a Signage Producer and Installer position. This position has 2 main overall responsibilities: help assemble signage in our facility and install signage at customer locations. The position also includes operation of sign manufacturing equipment and software plus quality checking finished product produced in-house and those from our partners. This position offers you the unique opportunity to blend your hands-on production skills with providing our customers with that final wow moment as you install their signage. 
 
The ideal candidate will have experience with signage assembly such as applying vinyl onto various substrates, excellent handling of cutting tools and basic knowledge of industry-standard design software. The candidate needs to be able to read a tape measure, have experience with hand and shop tools, and is willing to work outdoors doing things like installing banners and pole signs.

Some of the responsibilities include:
  • Perform sign assembly, including weeding vinyl, masking, and mounting prints to rigid substrates (e.g., ACM, PVC, foam core).
  • Assist with the preparation and finishing stages of vehicle wraps and large-format banners (e.g., trimming, grommeting, laminating).
  • Install alone or as part of team various sign formats (including but not limited to wall murals, contour-cut decals, spot graphics and dimensional letters). 
  • Conduct site surveys for wall, window and vehicle graphics. 
  • Conduct final quality control checks on finished products before delivery or installation.
  • Modify existing layouts, scale artwork, and perform precise color corrections to meet client branding standards.
  • Help manage the daily shop production workflow to ensure projects move from output to fabrication to customer ready. 
  • Help manage and track material inventory. 
  • Operate and maintain production equipment, including large format printers, vinyl cutter, and laminator. 
  • Become an expert with 3D Printing if not already.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years working with wide format printers, lamination and die cutting. 
  • Substrate preparation: Get substrates ready for installation of vinyl 
  • Vinyl application: Install vinyl on to a variety of substrates
  • Vinyl installation: Demonstrate ability to install vinyl both wet and dry methods on complex surfaces, including textured walls and   glass.
  • RIP Software Knowledge A PLUS
  • Proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with other design software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of printing processes, color management, and file preparation for large format production.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to [e.g., 50 lbs.] and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
