Sign Shop Lead - Maumee, Ohio

About the Job:
Creative Solutions Group is seeking a full-time, highly skilled Sign Shop Lead to join our fast-paced team at our Maumee, OH facility. This role is ideal for a production professional who can lead hands-on graphics work, maintain high-quality standards, and support a collaborative production environment.

In this role, you will oversee key graphics production activities, support quality control, maintain equipment and materials, and collaborate with design and production teams to complete projects accurately and on schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre- and post-production quality assurance by accurately reading graphic layouts and checking work for errors or unacceptable standards.
  • Operate and maintain printers, laminating equipment, and plotter cutters.
  • Prepare substrates for vinyl application.
  • Apply computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic images to predetermined substrates or media according to approved layouts.
  • Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images using techniques appropriate to the size, vinyl type, and image complexity.
  • Perform finishing operations, including laminating and mounting printed pieces.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report stock that needs to be reordered to manager.
  • Assist the graphic designer with measuring tradeshow booth properties and display pieces to validate dimensions.
  • Install SEG fabric graphics.
  • Clean and maintain storage areas.
  • Collaborate as a team player and assist others as needed.
  • Assist other production departments as needed, including tradeshow booth set-up and tear-down.
  • Learn new skills as required. 

Qualifications:
  • 2–4 years of sign production experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including four hours or more.
  • Ability to lean over a waist-high table and use repetitive hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to substrates.
  • Ability to work under pressure while producing high-volume, high-quality work.
