Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Compensation: Flat rate per turnover (varies by property size, service level, and scope)

About Exodus Cleaning Co.

Exodus Cleaning Co. provides professional short-term rental cleaning and hospitality turnover services across Central Texas. We partner with Airbnb and vacation rental hosts to ensure every guest walks into a space that feels clean, comfortable, and intentionally prepared.

Our work goes beyond standard cleaning — we focus on guest-ready presentation, consistency, and the small details that create a five-star experience.

Why People Like Working With Us

This role is designed for cleaners who want more than one-off jobs or inconsistent work.

  • Flexible Scheduling: You set your availability — we assign jobs that fit your schedule
  • Consistent Opportunities: Reliable, high-performing contractors are given priority and more recurring work
  • Clear Systems & Expectations: Detailed checklists, structured processes, and organized workflows (no guesswork)
  • Professional Environment: Work with a company that values quality, communication, and reliability — not rushed, low-standard jobs
  • Growth Potential: Opportunity to take on more properties, larger jobs, or consistent routes over time
  • Independence: Work on your own (or with your team) without micromanagement

This is a strong fit for cleaners who want stability, structure, and the ability to grow their income through consistent performance.

What This Role Is (and Isn’t)

This is not traditional house cleaning.

This is hospitality-focused turnover work, where timing, detail, and consistency matter just as much as cleanliness. Each property must be reset to a standard that meets guest expectations every single stay.

Responsibilities

  • Complete short-term rental turnovers between guest stays
  • Clean and reset homes to consistent, guest-ready standards
  • Follow detailed checklists and property-specific instructions
  • Change linens, restock supplies, and stage spaces appropriately
  • Identify and communicate damages, missing items, or maintenance needs
  • Ensure the home is fully prepared for the next guest arrival

What a 5-Star Clean Looks Like

  • Every surface cleaned — no missed details
  • Bathrooms and kitchens cleaned to hotel-level sanitation standards
  • Floors, corners, baseboards, and high-touch areas addressed
  • Beds and linens presented neatly and consistently
  • The space feels intentional, fresh, and ready — not just “clean enough”

Who This Is For

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Have hands-on cleaning experience (residential, STR, commercial, or deep cleaning)
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality, detailed work
  • Can work independently without supervision
  • Are reliable, punctual, and consistent
  • Communicate clearly and follow through on commitments
  • Understand that reliability is just as important as skill

Requirements

  • Prior cleaning experience (STR or hospitality experience strongly preferred)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Availability during turnover windows (late morning–afternoon, weekends required)
  • Ability to begin within a reasonable timeframe
  • Must operate as an independent contractor (1099)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with short-term rental workflows or platforms (e.g., Breezeway or similar tools)
  • Already insured as an individual cleaner or business
  • Established cleaning systems, supplies, and equipment

Supplies & Equipment

Contractors are expected to provide their own cleaning supplies and tools. Strong candidates already have a consistent kit and workflow they bring to every job.

Work Structure

  • Apply as an individual, team, or company
  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability
  • Work is assigned based on reliability, quality, and consistency
  • High performers receive more consistent opportunities

What Sets Top Contractors Apart

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in their work
  • Clear communication and follow-through
  • A defined personal standard for what “done right” means
  • The ability to consistently deliver that standard

Application Process

To be considered, applicants should be prepared to provide:

  • Details of prior cleaning experience
  • Current availability and how soon you can start
  • Whether applying as an individual, team, or company
  • Confirmation of reliable transportation and (if applicable) insurance
  • A summary of your supplies and cleaning setup
  • Your strongest skills and how others would describe your work ethic
  • Your step-by-step approach to cleaning a bathroom to luxury hotel standards
  • Any past job terminations (if applicable) and context
  • References
  • Expected compensation per job

Final Note

This opportunity is best suited for cleaners who take their work seriously and want consistent opportunities with a company that values professionalism, reliability, and high standards.

If you’re someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional results and wants to build steady work with a company that respects your time and quality, we’d love to hear from you.
