Job Duties:

Description of Duties:
- Observes public shooting and ensures a safe and family-friendly range experience for all customers.
- Provides excellent and courteous customer service. Performs daily maintenance tasks to include emptying trash cans, sweeping brass, and assisting in the care of landscape and other facility maintenance/custodial duties.
- Assists range staff in set-up and preparation of the ranges, introductory shooting programs, shooting competitions, and other shooting sports activities throughout the season.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

The candidate must have exceptional customer service and communication skills and have the ability to interact and work with a diverse variety of customers, user groups, and employees. The candidate must have a safety mindset and be prepared to enforce range safety rules equally at all times.

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate will have customer service experience in a high-volume, high-stress environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

A level 1 fingerprint clearance card is required. Must be able to legally possess a firearm in accordance with 18 U.S. Code 922(g). Employment is contingent upon completion of a post-offer medical/physical examination and the agency's ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions. Medical/Physical examination will include baseline blood lead and zinc levels and a baseline hearing test, all of which will be monitored on an annual basis.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
