Job description

Position Description:

The Hot Work Coordinator (HWC) serves as the primary point of contact for coordinating, managing, and processing hot work permits onboard U.S. Navy ships during repair projects. Responsibilities include reviewing and tracking permits, maintaining daily hot work logs, coordinating with Navy personnel, contractors, project teams, and fire safety representatives, attending project and safety meetings, generating weekly and forecast reports, resolving work conflicts, and ensuring compliance with NAVSEA standards and company safety procedures. The role requires active participation in shipboard operations, safety monitoring, and production scheduling while prioritizing safe execution of all hot work activities.
