Job description

At Primus Aerospace, you’ll be part of a skilled, team-oriented environment supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing. This role supports the day-to-day shipping and receiving operations to ensure material flows efficiently through the facility while maintaining quality and accuracy.


First Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Pay Rate: $18/hr - $24/hr


Position Overview:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator supports daily shipping and receiving activities, helping ensure material is processed accurately and on time to support production and customer commitments. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, coordination, and maintaining organized material flow across the dock.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily shipping and receiving operations
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming material against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Process incoming material in ERP (receipts, inventory movements, etc.)
  • Ensure material is properly labeled, tracked, and routed to the correct jobs/travelers
  • Package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments per customer and quality requirements
  • Assist in creating shipping documentation (packing lists, BOLs, etc.)
  • Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries
  • Communicate with internal teams (Planning, Quality, Production) on material status
  • Help maintain organized inventory locations (raw material, WIP, finished goods)
  • Assist in maintaining packaging supplies and materials
  • Support end-of-month shipping volume and general dock activity
  • Follow company procedures for traceability and documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing material
  • Support on-time shipments to customers
  • Maintain accurate ERP transactions
  • Assist in meeting dock-to-stock timing goals
  • Maintain organization and traceability of materials


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred
  • Basic ERP or inventory system experience required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Forklift experience required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred:

  • Manufacturing or aerospace experience
  • Familiarity with quality systems (AS9100 or ISO)
  • Basic understanding of inventory or material tracking
