Job description

  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards
  • Coordination of shipping personnel daily activities and vacations
  • Act as liaison between Logistics Techs and management, other departments and external parties
  • Manage day to day operations of the Trex shipping office
  • Monitor shipping schedules to meet customer demand
  • Act as primary point of contact between Trex and 3PL
  • Resolve all shipping issues to ensure high levels of customer service and develop proactive shipping solutions when needed
  • Communicate information to different individuals, departments, and external parties
  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Work directly with external auditors to supply requested paperwork in a timely fashion
  • Prepare outbound sales orders and customs paperwork
  • Maintain records, both hard and electronic copies to meet Trex data retention policies
  • Recommend and assists in implementing operating procedures
  • Troubleshoot, compile data, and report to management system related issues
  • Promote continual improvement within the department and the company
  • May assist LTs in shipping activities when necessary

Experience, Education:
  • High school diploma required
  • 2+ year supervisory experience
  • 2-5 years of logistics experience preferred
  • Ability to coordinate and execute daily activities of shipping personnel
  • Skilled in MS Office software
