Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Our team inSpace and Defense Groupis looking for aFinal Shipping Inspector to join them. You will report to the SR. Operations Coordinator and will have an onsite work schedule Monday - Friday 11:00pm-7:00am in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of related experience in a related technical field.

As a Final Shipping Inspector, you will:

  • Coordinate Final Inspections: Organize and assign inspectors to review products coming from stock rooms before shipment.
  • Process Inspection Results: Ensure inspected products are cleared for shipping and documentation is complete.
  • Review Readiness: Check paperwork, contracts, and product condition to confirm readiness for inspection and shipment.
  • Perform final inspection of the completed hardware for external visual and dimensional features such as: Tie-wire, damage, nameplates, lead length etc.
  • Review test data sheets for conformance to specifications, legibility, etc.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve issues preventing shipments; escalate to manager when needed.
  • Material Movement: Track and manage product flow from stock rooms through inspection to shipping.
  • Customer Interaction: Handle transactional communications with customers regarding shipment status or inspection outcomes.
