New Tech Global is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector - Fabrication in Houston, Texas.
Overview
New Tech Global is seeking a Quality Control Inspector - Fabrication to support the inspection and verification of fabricated equipment, structural assemblies, and machined components. The successful candidate will perform dimensional, fit-up, weld, and final inspections; review engineering drawings and quality documentation; verify material traceability; support vendor inspections; and work closely with engineering, fabrication, project management, and quality teams to ensure products meet project specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; CWI certification preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in quality control, welding inspection, fabrication, manufacturing, or a related industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, dimensional tolerances, and technical specifications.
  • Experience performing dimensional, fit-up, weld, and final inspections on fabricated components and assemblies.
  • Knowledge of welding processes, fabrication practices, material traceability, and quality documentation.
  • Experience reviewing Material Test Reports (MTRs), inspection reports, welder qualifications, WPSs, PQRs, and related quality records.
  • Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and applicable API fabrication and inspection standards is preferred.
  • Experience conducting vendor, source, and field inspections within fabrication or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency using standard measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required to support inspections, audits, and project activities.
