You will be the Shipping/Receiving Inspector for the Materials Inspection Team at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and timely movement of all shipped and received goods.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Shipping/Receiving Inspector you will be responsible for overseeing inspection activities that guarantee product integrity and support our supply chain.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-To perform receiving/shipping inspections used primarily
for identification, condition, type, packaging, quantity, etc.
and limited dimensional and testing where specified.
-Perform a variety of inspection/audit operations of
materials, equipment, and hardware ranging from raw
stock and detail components to completed assemblies being received from suppliers or shipped from the
company.
-Perform inspection and verification in accordance with Inspection Instructions, Request for Shipment (RFS), drawings, specifications, Quality Procedures or other Customer or Company documents, as applicable.
-Route items requiring specialized inspections and tests to
designated areas and verify completion and acceptance is
achieved.
-Perform general and periodic surveillance inspection
requirements of warehousing, shipping, and associated storage areas.
-Suggest improvements inspection methods, equipment, safety, and environmental practices.
-Maintain effective liaison with Materials, Shipping, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer, and other departments to achieve product schedules within budget targets.
-Handle, utilize, maintain and store inspection equipment in a manner to prevent damage, abuse, or neglect and to maintain its serviceability.
In addition, the selected candidate will also be required to:
-Occasionally operate all lifting and loading equipment.
-Originate and maintain required records and logs.
-This role will require the use of complicated drawings, specifications, and shop mathematics.
-Employee may be required to handle explosives and hazardous materials.
