Description

Brief Description:

Shipping/ Receiving Department is responsible for receiving, storing, pulling, disbursing, shipping and accounting for all inventory and services within the company. The Shipping Receiving Clerk will be initially trained in 1 area and is expected to progressively cross train to be responsible for additional functions within the department.

Qualifications

  • Willing to work hard, positive attitude, willing to learn, team oriented, good work ethic, sense of urgency and ability to achieve results required.
  • Computer proficient with ability to make accurate inventory, job costing, labor and time keeping entries required.
  • Experience in Scale Count, Receiving, Pulling, Packing, UPS, FedEx, LTL, and International shipping to customer specifications, equipment characteristics, transportation methods and routes preferred.
  • Forklift background preferred
  • Experience in ERP preferred.
  • Ability to verify identification, quantity and quality of product and accurately make corresponding entries in computer and on documentation required.
  • Ability to accurately utilize shop math required.
  • Ability to read & accurately interpret work instructions, procedures, etc. required
  • Attention to detail with ability to think and act analytically and use mathematics to meet job requirements required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with outside process vendors for identification and follow-up on jobs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including listening, speaking and writing
  • Effective team member with sense of urgency and ability to meet schedule requirements required
  • Excellent attendance record required
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand 90%+ of shift
  • Ability to work overtime when needed, including weekends when needed.
